Description
Soft, sweet Chocolate Covered Strawberry Cookies made with real strawberries and dipped in melted chocolate for a romantic dessert.
Ingredients
½ cup unsalted butter, softened
¾ cup granulated sugar
1 large egg
1 tsp vanilla extract
1 ½ cups all-purpose flour
½ tsp baking powder
¼ tsp salt
½ cup crushed freeze-dried strawberries or ¾ cup finely chopped fresh strawberries
1 cup semi-sweet chocolate chips
Instructions
1. Preheat oven to 350°F and line baking sheet.
2. Cream butter and sugar until light.
3. Add egg and vanilla; mix well.
4. Combine flour, baking powder, and salt; add to dough.
5. Fold in crushed strawberries.
6. Scoop and bake 8–10 minutes until set.
7. Cool completely.
8. Melt chocolate and dip half of each cookie.
9. Let chocolate set before serving.
Notes
Store in airtight container for 3 days at room temp or refrigerate up to 1 week.
