Description

Chocolate cupcakes with strawberry buttercream filling made from scratch. Soft chocolate crumb with a creamy strawberry center.


Ingredients

Scale

1 cup all-purpose flour

½ cup unsweetened cocoa powder

¾ cup granulated sugar

½ tsp baking soda

½ tsp salt

½ cup milk

¼ cup vegetable oil

1 large egg

1 tsp vanilla extract

½ cup unsalted butter, softened

1½ cups powdered sugar

¼ cup strawberry puree

½ tsp vanilla extract


Instructions

1. Preheat oven to 350°F and line a muffin pan

2. Mix dry ingredients in a bowl

3. Add wet ingredients and stir until smooth

4. Bake cupcakes and cool completely

5. Beat butter, sugar, strawberry puree, and vanilla

6. Core cupcakes and fill with buttercream
