These Double Chocolate Chip Cookies bake soft in the center with crisp edges and rich cocoa flavor. They use simple pantry staples and come together in one bowl for an easy, cozy dessert.
Ingredients
1 cup all-purpose flour
1/3 cup unsweetened cocoa powder
1/2 teaspoon baking soda
1/4 teaspoon salt
1/2 cup unsalted butter, melted
1/2 cup brown sugar
1/4 cup granulated sugar
1 large egg
1 teaspoon vanilla extract
1 cup chocolate chips
Instructions
1. Preheat oven to 350°F and line a baking sheet
2. Whisk flour, cocoa powder, baking soda, and salt
3. Stir melted butter with both sugars until smooth
4. Mix in egg and vanilla extract
5. Fold dry ingredients into wet mixture
6. Stir in chocolate chips
7. Scoop dough onto prepared baking sheet
8. Bake for 10 to 12 minutes until edges set
9. Cool on pan for 5 minutes before serving
Notes
Do not overbake. Centers should look slightly soft when removed from the oven.
Chill dough 20 minutes for thicker cookies.
