Description
Sticky, sweet, and savory, these garlic honey chicken thighs are an easy one-pan dinner that packs bold flavor and comes together in under 40 minutes.
Ingredients
- 6 bone-in or boneless chicken thighs
- 4 cloves garlic, minced
- 1/3 cup honey
- 1/4 cup soy sauce (or tamari)
- 1 tbsp apple cider vinegar
- 1 tbsp olive oil
- Optional: pinch of red pepper flakes or fresh ginger
Instructions
1. Preheat oven to 375°F (190°C).
2. Heat olive oil in an oven-safe skillet over medium-high heat.
3. Sear chicken thighs for 4–5 minutes per side until browned, then remove from pan.
4. Add garlic to the same pan and sauté for 30 seconds.
5. Stir in honey, soy sauce, and vinegar. Simmer for 2–3 minutes until slightly thickened.
6. Return chicken to pan and spoon sauce over each piece.
7. Transfer skillet to oven and bake for 20–25 minutes, basting once halfway through.
8. Remove from oven when internal temp reaches 165°F. Let rest 5 minutes before serving.
Notes
You can marinate the chicken in the sauce for 15–30 minutes before cooking for extra flavor.
This recipe works great with both boneless and bone-in chicken.
Store leftovers in the fridge for up to 4 days or freeze for 3 months.
