Description

Green Velvet Cupcakes with soft cocoa flavor and creamy frosting. Moist, vibrant, and perfect for festive celebrations.


Ingredients

Scale

1 1/4 cups all-purpose flour

1 tablespoon cocoa powder

1/2 teaspoon baking soda

1/4 teaspoon salt

1/2 cup unsalted butter, softened

3/4 cup granulated sugar

2 large eggs

1/2 cup buttermilk

1 teaspoon vanilla extract

Green food coloring

Frosting:

8 oz cream cheese, softened

1/4 cup unsalted butter, softened

2 cups powdered sugar

1 teaspoon vanilla extract


Instructions

1. Preheat oven to 350°F and line muffin pan with liners.

2. Whisk flour, cocoa powder, baking soda, and salt.

3. Beat butter and sugar until fluffy.

4. Add eggs one at a time.

5. Mix in buttermilk, vanilla, and green coloring.

6. Combine dry ingredients with wet mixture.

7. Fill liners 3/4 full.

8. Bake 16–18 minutes and cool completely.

9. Beat frosting ingredients until creamy and frost cupcakes.

Notes

Use gel food coloring for deeper green color.

Store frosted cupcakes in refrigerator for up to 3 days.

Freeze unfrosted cupcakes up to 2 months.
