Description

Guinness Slow Cooker Corned Beef and Cabbage made tender with stout and hearty vegetables. A comforting one-pot meal.


Ingredients

34 lb corned beef brisket

1 (12 oz) Guinness stout

3 cups beef broth

1 lb baby potatoes

4 carrots

1 onion

1 small cabbage

2 garlic cloves

1 bay leaf


Instructions

1. Rinse corned beef.

2. Place onion and garlic in slow cooker.

3. Add brisket and spice packet.

4. Pour Guinness and broth over meat.

5. Add potatoes and carrots.

6. Cook on low for 480 minutes.

7. Add cabbage last 90–120 minutes.

8. Rest, slice against grain, and serve.

Notes

Cook on low for best texture.

Slice against the grain.

Add cabbage near the end.
