Description

Creamy, cheesy, and comforting  these Marry Me Meatball Subs feature juicy meatballs simmered in a rich tomato-Parmesan cream sauce, topped with melted mozzarella inside toasted rolls. Perfect for cozy dinners or romantic date nights.


Ingredients

1 lb ground beef or turkey

1/2 cup breadcrumbs

1 egg

1 tsp garlic powder

1/2 tsp crushed red pepper flakes

1 tbsp olive oil

1 cup heavy cream

1/2 cup grated Parmesan

1/2 cup sun-dried tomatoes, chopped

1 tsp Italian seasoning

1 cup shredded mozzarella

4 sub rolls, toasted


Instructions

1. Combine ground meat, breadcrumbs, egg, garlic powder, red pepper, salt, and pepper. Form 1-inch meatballs.

2. Heat olive oil in a skillet and brown meatballs on all sides.

3. Add heavy cream, Parmesan, sun-dried tomatoes, and Italian seasoning. Simmer for 10 minutes until thickened.

4. Stir in mozzarella until melted and creamy.

5. Spoon meatballs and sauce into toasted rolls and broil 1–2 minutes until golden.

Notes

Make ahead: Cook the meatballs and sauce, refrigerate up to 2 days, and assemble before serving.

Lighter option: Use ground chicken or turkey.
