Description
Red velvet marble waffles with a soft interior and crisp edges, finished with a light cocoa swirl.
Ingredients
1 cup all-purpose flour
1 tbsp sugar
1 tsp baking powder
1 cup milk
1 large egg
1 tbsp melted butter
1 tsp cocoa powder
1 tbsp red food coloring
Instructions
1. Whisk flour, sugar, and baking powder in a bowl
2. Add milk, egg, and melted butter and mix smooth
3. Remove half the batter and mix with cocoa and red coloring
4. Heat and grease waffle iron
5. Add both batters and gently swirl
6. Cook until waffles turn crisp
Notes
Do not over-swirl the batter to keep a clear marble pattern.
