Description
A romantic Valentine Macaron Tower made of heart-shaped macarons stacked into a beautiful centerpiece.
Ingredients
1 ½ cups almond flour
1 ½ cups powdered sugar
3 egg whites
¼ cup sugar
Gel food coloring
½ cup butter
1 cup powdered sugar (for filling)
1 tbsp heavy cream
1 tsp vanilla extract
Optional flavorings and decorations
Instructions
1. Sift almond flour and powdered sugar.
2. Whip egg whites with sugar until stiff peaks form.
3. Fold dry ingredients and coloring into meringue.
4. Pipe macarons, let rest 30 minutes.
5. Bake at 300°F for 15–18 minutes.
6. Make filling with butter, sugar, cream, and vanilla.
7. Sandwich macarons and stack into a tower.
8. Decorate with ribbons and flowers.
Notes
Refrigerate filled macarons overnight for the best texture. Assemble the tower the day you serve.
