Description

A sweet collection of homemade Valentine’s Day treats — from red velvet cupcakes to strawberry cheesecakes and heart-shaped cookies. Perfect for gifting, celebrating, or sharing love at home.

Ingredients

Scale

2 cups all-purpose flour

1 cup granulated sugar

1/2 cup unsalted butter (softened)

2 large eggs

1/4 cup cocoa powder

1 tsp baking powder

1/2 cup buttermilk

1 tsp vanilla extract

1/2 tsp salt

Pink or red food coloring (optional)

Strawberries, for garnish

Instructions

1. Preheat your oven to 350°F (175°C) and line your baking trays or cupcake pans.

2. In a bowl, whisk together flour, cocoa, baking powder, and salt.

3. In another bowl, cream butter and sugar until light and fluffy, then beat in eggs one at a time.

4. Stir in vanilla and food coloring (if desired) for that Valentine’s pink tone.

5. Gradually add dry ingredients to wet, alternating with buttermilk until smooth.

6. Spoon batter into cupcake liners or cookie molds.

7. Bake for 15–18 minutes, until a toothpick comes out clean.

8. Let cool before decorating with pink frosting, sprinkles, or strawberries on top.

Notes

These Valentine’s Day treats can be made ahead and stored in an airtight container for up to 3 days.

You can swap strawberries for raspberries, or top with cream cheese frosting for extra flavor.

For a chocolate-free version, skip the cocoa and add lemon zest for a bright twist.
