Description

This premium avocado cilantro lime sauce creates a cool, velvety finish for any taco creation. By leveraging the natural healthy fats of ripe avocados, fresh cilantro, and tangy lime juice, this sauce delivers a restaurant-quality flavor profile. It serves as a versatile, alcohol-free, and pork-free condiment that balances heat while adding a vibrant, smooth texture to grilled vegetables, bean burgers, or street-style tacos.

Ingredients

Scale

2 large ripe avocados
1 cup fresh cilantro, packed, stems removed
3 tbsp fresh lime juice
1 clove garlic, minced
1/4 cup plain unsweetened Greek yogurt
1/2 tsp salt

Instructions

Scoop the flesh from the avocados into a food processor or blender.
Add the cilantro, lime juice, garlic, and Greek yogurt to the vessel.
Pulse the mixture six times to begin breaking down the ingredients.
Process on high speed for 30 seconds until completely smooth.
Add the salt and scrape down the sides of the bowl with a spatula.
Pulse one final time to ensure the salt is evenly incorporated.

Notes

Store in an airtight container in the refrigerator for up to two days. If the sauce is too thick, you can thin it out with a teaspoon of water at a time until your desired consistency is reached. This sauce is naturally vegetarian and completely free from animal-based fats or alcohol.
