Description

A comforting one-pot meal featuring fluffy Bisquick dumplings simmered in rich chicken broth with tender chicken. Simple, classic, and deeply savory with minimal effort.

Ingredients

Scale

1 cup Bisquick Mix
2 cups shredded or cubed cooked chicken
4 cups chicken broth (low-sodium recommended)
1/2 cup milk (whole preferred)
2 tbsp butter (unsalted)
Salt and pepper, to taste
2 cloves garlic (optional, minced)

Instructions

Heat a large pot over medium heat and melt the butter.
Add chicken to the pot and cook for 5 minutes, stirring intermittently.
Pour in the chicken broth and bring to a simmer.
Season with salt, pepper, and optional garlic. Simmer on medium-low for 5 minutes.
In a mixing bowl, whisk together Bisquick Mix, milk, and a pinch of salt until just combined.
Drop tablespoons of the dumpling mixture into the simmering broth.
Cover and let cook for 10-12 minutes until dumplings rise and are tender.
Adjust seasoning before serving.

Notes

Use canned Bisquick for convenience.
Rotisserie chicken simplifies prep.
Low-sodium broth ensures balanced flavor.
Optional garlic adds depth; omit if preferred.
