Description

These elegant and effortless Christmas cheese trees are the perfect holiday appetizer. Featuring creamy cheese wedges adorned with a savory, crunchy blend of finely chopped pecans, tart dried cranberries, and fresh thyme, these bite-sized snacks look just like miniature evergreen trees. Supported by a sturdy pretzel trunk, they offer a sophisticated balance of textures and flavors that will delight your guests. This no-cook recipe is a stress-free centerpiece for any holiday spread, allowing you to focus on the festivities while serving a professional-quality treat.

Ingredients

Scale

8 Laughing Cow cheese wedges (original or light)
1/4 cup pecans, very finely chopped
3 tablespoons dried cranberries, very finely chopped
1 tablespoon fresh thyme, minced
Flaky sea salt to taste
8 pretzel sticks
Optional: Honey for drizzling

Instructions

Unwrap all eight cheese wedges carefully to maintain their triangular shape.
Combine the finely chopped pecans, dried cranberries, chopped thyme, and a pinch of sea salt in a small, shallow bowl.
Press the rounded side of each cheese wedge firmly into the pecan-cranberry mixture to ensure the coating adheres well.
Leave parts of the cheese visible to create a natural, textured tree appearance.
Insert one pretzel stick into the center of the wide base of each wedge to serve as the tree trunk.
Arrange on a platter and optional drizzle with a small amount of honey before serving.

Notes

You can substitute rosemary for thyme if preferred. Ensure the nuts and cranberries are very finely chopped so they adhere to the cheese without falling off. For the best presentation, serve immediately after assembly. If preparing in advance, keep refrigerated and add the pretzel trunks just before serving to ensure they remain crisp.
