Description
A simple and delicious weeknight dinner that balances the classic sweetness of honey with savory garlic and soy sauce. This slow-cooked recipe produces incredibly tender, succulent chicken breasts with a rich, sticky glaze, all achieved with minimal effort and no stovetop monitoring required.
Ingredients
1.5 lbs Boneless, skinless chicken breasts (trimmed of fat)
1/2 cup Raw honey
1/3 cup Low sodium soy sauce
4 cloves Freshly minced garlic
2 tbsp Hoisin sauce
1 tsp Toasted sesame oil
Instructions
Place the chicken breasts in a single layer at the bottom of the slow cooker.
Whisk together the honey, soy sauce, hoisin sauce, minced garlic, and sesame oil in a mixing bowl until uniform.
Pour the sauce mixture over the chicken breasts ensuring they are thoroughly coated.
Secure the lid on the slow cooker.
Cook on the low-heat setting for exactly 5 hours.
Carefully remove chicken with tongs and serve with the remaining sauce.
Notes
If a thicker sauce is desired, you may whisk in 1 teaspoon of cornstarch to the sauce before cooking. Store leftovers in an airtight container in the refrigerator for up to 3 days.
