Description
A creamy, tender chicken dish made effortlessly in a crockpot. Simmered in a parmesan garlic sauce, this American comfort food is perfect for busy weeknights and offers a rich, velvety flavor.
Ingredients
4 (6 oz each) boneless skinless chicken breasts
4 cloves garlic, minced
1 cup grated parmesan cheese
2 cups heavy cream
2 tbsp olive oil
1/2 cup milk (optional)
1 tsp dried basil
Salt and pepper, to taste
Instructions
Pat chicken breasts dry and season both sides with salt and pepper.
Heat olive oil in a skillet over medium heat. Sear chicken for 1 minute per side (optional step for extra flavor).
In the crockpot, add minced garlic, grated parmesan, heavy cream, milk (if using), dried basil, and season with additional salt and pepper.
Place seared chicken breasts into the crockpot on top of the sauce mixture.
Cover and cook on low for 6 hours.
Remove chicken, slice, and return to the sauce to absorb more flavor before serving, or serve as is with rice, pasta, or mashed potatoes.
Notes
For vegan option, substitute heavy cream with plant-based cream.
Adjust milk quantity for thinner sauce.
Sealing chicken with a quick sear enhances flavor.
