Description

A rich, aromatic garlic butter vegetable side dish highlighting snap peas’ natural sweetness and buttery depth. This easy 15-minute recipe yields tender, golden-caramelized peas perfect for pairing with meats or enjoying solo.

Ingredients

Scale

16 oz (450g) snap peas (fresh, stemmed)
3 tbsp (45g) unsalted butter
3 cloves minced garlic (or 1 tbsp garlic powder)
1 tsp salt (divided)
1/2 tsp black pepper (freshly ground)

Instructions

Wash and stem snap peas while butter reaches room temperature
In a small bowl, mix butter with garlic and 1/2 tsp salt until smooth
Heat 1 tbsp garlic butter in skillet over medium-high heat until effervescent
Sauté snap peas in single layer for 4-5 minutes until tender but vibrant green
Stir in remaining 2 tbsp garlic butter with 1/2 tsp salt
Cook 2-3 minutes until golden glaze forms on peas

Notes

Use fresh garlic for maximum aroma
Adjust heat to maintain medium-high temperature
Variation: Substitute 2 tbsp olive oil for butter
Add sesame seeds or chopped green onions as garnish
Storage: Best served fresh, but refrigerate up to 3 days
