Ingredients

2 tbsp dark brown sugar (or coconut sugar)
1/4 cup soy sauce (use tamari for gluten-free)

1 tbsp balsamic vinegar (optional)
2 tbsp olive oil (for searing, optional)
Instructions
Pat chicken dry and season with salt and pepper
Heat oil in crockpot (optional); sear thighs 2 minutes per side
