Description

A vibrant Mediterranean-inspired appetizer combining creamy burrata, sweet summer peaches, and spicy hot honey on crispy baguette slices. Perfect for balancing sweet and spicy flavors with minimal effort.

Ingredients

Scale

1 loaf baguette, sliced into 1/2-inch rounds
150g burrata cheese (or fresh mozzarella if unavailable)
2 large fresh peaches (ripe but not overripe, or substitute with nectarines)
2–3 tbsp hot honey (mild chili heat; ensure non-alcoholic)
1 tbsp extra virgin olive oil
Sea salt, to taste
Black pepper, to taste

Instructions

Preheat oven to 350°F (175°C)
Slice the baguette into 1/2-inch rounds and brush lightly with olive oil
Season baguette slices with salt and pepper
Bake for 8–10 minutes until golden and crisp; set aside to cool
Peel peaches by running a sharp knife under the skin, then slice into thin wedges
Tear or spoon burrata onto crostini, top with peach slices, and drizzle with hot honey

Notes

Use room-temperature burrata for optimal stretch and creaminess
Peaches may be grilled for extra smokiness (no alcohol-based methods)
Toasted crostini can be prepared in advance and stored in an airtight container until serving
