Description
Light strawberry shortcake with fluffy whipped cream and fresh berries. Perfect for Mother’s Day dessert.
Ingredients
2 cups strawberries sliced
2 tbsp sugar
1½ cups all-purpose flour
2 tsp baking powder
2 tbsp sugar
½ tsp salt
6 tbsp cold butter
⅔ cup milk
1 cup heavy cream
1 tbsp powdered sugar
½ tsp vanilla extract
Instructions
1. Slice strawberries and mix with sugar
2. Preheat oven to 425°F
3. Mix flour baking powder sugar and salt
4. Cut butter into flour mixture
5. Add milk and form dough
6. Shape dough into biscuits
7. Bake 12–15 minutes
8. Whip cream with sugar and vanilla
9. Slice biscuits and layer strawberries and cream
10. Serve immediately
Notes
Assemble shortcake just before serving to keep biscuits from getting soggy.
