Description
Flaky puff pastry hearts filled with sweet strawberries and baked until golden.
Ingredients
1 sheet puff pastry
1 cup diced strawberries
2 tbsp sugar
1 tsp cornstarch
1 tsp lemon juice
1 egg beaten
powdered sugar
Instructions
1. Preheat oven to 400°F
2. Mix strawberries sugar lemon juice and cornstarch
3. Cut puff pastry into heart shapes
4. Add filling to half the hearts
5. Top with remaining hearts and seal edges
6. Brush with egg wash
7. Bake 16 to 18 minutes
8. Dust with powdered sugar

Use cold puff pastry for best rise
Cornstarch prevents soggy filling
